Not too long ago {R} and I visited Ikea on a mission for a Jute Rug. Well, anyone who has been to Ikea must know that it is nearly impossible to leave the store with just one thing (and without stopping for an ice cream cone on the way out). Since we recently went from two incomes to one we have definitely been on a tight budget so I really had to keep myself in check every time I wanted to throw something in the cart (it was hard). I did, however, make a wish list for future shopping trips. Then, I realized how fun it would be to share my favorite Ikea buys/finds with you with a twist! I've rounded up my top 20 favorite Ikea farmhouse finds!

It's time for some potty talk! That's right- it's powder room reveal day and I have never been so excited to spend time in a bathroom in my life 😜!

I am not sure why it took me so long to update this room because A. I have wanted to paint it since the day we moved in and B. It's a small space so there is no excuse as to why I wasn't able to find the time. Luckily, the previous owners of this home, who just so happened to build it, had great taste and chose a classic pedestal vanity and chrome light fixture that I didn't feel needed to be changed. However, I am just not a fan of the red paint on the walls. I feel like you either love red or you hate it (or maybe i'm just making stuff up). Either way, it was time to make a change! I challenged myself to makeover this room for less than $100 and I'm happy to report I was successful.

It is absolutely crazy how much can change in a year! My life has been turned completely upside down in the most amazing way! I think it's pretty obvious by the title of this post that {R} and I welcomed a new member to our family, a perfect baby boy named Hudson😊! I could write an entire post about how much Motherhood has changed my life in the most amazing way [and maybe I will!] but today is all about Hudson's nursery.

I know I am not the only one who follows trends. I mean, helllloooo, isn't that the reason we have trend setters (and Instagram)? I am here to tell you you're not alone!

Hi there! So excited to share a recent project that we completed for our theater room (still can't believe I can say that...). I call this semi-DIY because I realize that I didn't actually create the individual marquee letters- but I had the idea to turn them into a 'Cinema' sign! I am also giving a tutorial on hanging letters (or anything) on the wall without making a bunch of holes (although that did accidentally happen to me...keep reading to find out).

It has been a little over a month since moving into our new home and my shopping wish list continues to grow. My goal is to allow myself one big purchase a month. Unfortunately, my budget for the next couple of months was eaten up by an unexpected purchase of a new sump pump and all new carpet for the basement (sad face). You see, last Thursday our sump pump simply stopped working and after a heavy rain our entire basement flooded (ugly cry face). More on that debacle later.

Jute rugs are all the rage right now! With so many variations there is sure to be one to fit your taste.

I can't believe it is already a new year (and two weeks in at that!) After a six month hiatus from {R&R} I am back with big ideas! And what a perfect time as we ring in the New Year!

If you've been wondering where I have been this past week (aka why I haven't posted any DIY projects) it is because I just got back from an amazing trip to Mexico to visit my sister in San Cristobal de las Casas!

I am sure everyone has seen these prints in some form or another by now that say 'Hello There Handsome' and 'Good Morning Gorgeous'. Well, I decided these would be the perfect addition to my master bedroom's gallery wall that I was creating. However, I searched and searched for prints to buy online and really could not find anything I liked (enter DIY goddess) so I made my own!

In last week's DIY post I showed you how I created my West Elm Inspired Curtain Rods. This week we are finally going to dress them with some DIY Pom Pom curtains!

That's right... I'm back with more DIY curtains! And these were much easier than the last with a big impact!

Hi! I am so so SO excited to share one of my most creative DIY projects yet!

This is my first attempt at an Inspiration post or a 'mood board'. You see, I've been thinking dreaming about a kitchen with all open shelving. As surprising as it sounds my kitchen is one of the places I am the most organized (not on purpose I might add... I just have to be in such a small space) so I feel like I could get away with it. My plan scheme is to convert only one of my cabinets to open shelving which I am thinking of adding above our 'coffee' station.

So here goes nothing!
