If you didn't already know.... we MOVED! I had good intentions of a giving a full house tour post before jumping into any DIY posts but after moving in to our new-to-us house there was a space that needed a makeover STAT. I realized pretty quickly that our new house was lacking a drop zone for bags and coats, etc. So I quickly got to work.

Leave it to me to have an idea of something I want in my head that doesn't exist. I feel like this has been the story of my life. I set out to look for a very specific item and it's nowhere to be found- and if it is found the price is outrageous. That is exactly what happened when I set out to DIY this light fixture.

Y'all- I have been BUSY! This past weekend was insane. We had a baby shower, a first birthday party and somehow I managed to paint our powder room, the vanity AND try my hand at custom hand painted accent wall! Phew. I'm tired.

Have you ever started a DIY project that you were sure was going to end up in the trash it pile? That was me last week when I set out to up-cycle the ceiling fan in our guest bedroom. I am happy to report that I completely surprised myself and that what I expected to be an epic fail was an epic success!

I've recently found myself getting the house ready for spring. I don't necessarily pick a 'theme' every year but I am definitely inspired by different trends. This year I am inspired by vintage botanical art. I just love the fresh feel they add to a space. And after a winter like this it is definitely needed!
