Holiday Porch Tour

Monday, November 19, 2018

It's no secret that I love decorating our front porch- even if I am not the one who gets to see it! I am not lying when I say that I had a woman come knock on my door during the Halloween season to tell me that she just loved my porch decor and it made my day! So, I do it for those who walk by- and for all those people delivering the mail, packages, etc. It brings me joy to make my porch festive for the season!

Much like my fall porch, my holiday porch gets better and better each year. I decorate on a major budget so I cannot always add every item I want- but my collection is growing and my holiday porch is really becoming the dream I'd always envisioned!

The first thing that made it's way onto my porch each year is this 'Believe' sign that my husband made me a few years back. I'm working on a full tutorial for my porch signs but we just use a regular old pine board (12" by 72"), paint it red and stencil the letters. Prior to having a Cricut, we simply printed out letters and used an exacto knife to make stencils!

Last year, my Mom found this amazing antique sled at a local market!

And these skates used to be my Nana's! I love sweet and personal touches like that!

A couple years ago I scored this set of pre-lit trees from Big Lots for $25... for ALL THREE! I bought a couple sets because it was such a great deal!

Last year, I made this fun rustic inspired bucket. I had seem a set of these for nearly $100 and maybe someday I'll splurge on the real thing but for now, I am happy with my DIY $10 version (full tutorial here).

This year, I decided to layer rugs with multiple patterns instead of your ordinary welcome mat. I was really trying to pull out as much red as I could to brighten up the space.

My muse, if you will, was this gorgeous wreath from Lynch Creek Farm (If you happen to be reading this between November 19, 2018 and November 25, 2018 then head on over to my Instagram page to enter a giveaway to win one of these wreaths!).

I just cannot get over how absolutely stunning this wreath is!

To 'top' it all off, I hung these oversized red ornaments that I picked up from the Dollar Tree from the ceiling. It really adds a pop and accentuates the red ornaments in the wreath on the door.

I love how everything came together this year!
