I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to share a spring break wardrobe post! I am most certainly not a fashion blogger but I do love seeing other's post about capsule wardrobes, outfit ideas, etc. so I figured I'd give it a try!

We are headed to Disney World next week (!!!) which means pulling together some summer pieces to prepare. Luckily this trip comes a few months after Christmas and seeing as I'm always on a budget I decided to use some gift cards to get some fun new pieces for the trip. I don't do a lot of shopping for myself anymore but I think it's fun to have some new clothes for a trip like this.
I have always found it difficult to find good summer pieces in the winter (which is weird since not every place is cold in the winter) but I found some cute things to add to my Spring/Summer wardrobe that will work well for this trip as well!
One of my absolute go-to items for summer are distressed jean shorts. I lived in these shorts from Universal Thread at Target last year and they have made their way into my suitcase for this trip as well!
Women's Boyfriend Shorts |
I'm a sucker for neutrals- and I consider these a total neutral short. Green seems to go with so much (grey, white, stripes- my go to's) and these shorts are super comfortable!

When it comes to tops, I like things that can be mixed and matched and also items that can be worn for multiple seasons. I found this cute flutter tee at Target and fell in love! I can never have too many grey tees. This is another item that can be dressed up or down!
Short Sleeve Ruffle T-Shirt |
Striped V-Neck Tie Front Tank |
Old Navy |
To add some color, I found this cute tie front tee from Old Navy! I have a thing for tie front tops lately!

I also found this cute button down ruffle sleeve tee on Amazon! Its the perfect go-to stripe tee for any occasion!

Layering is one of the keys to a travel wardrobe. Be prepared for any any weather. We are traveling to Florida but I expect it may be chilly in the early mornings and evenings so I added my favorite jean jacket to my suitcase. It goes with pretty much any outfit that I'm bringing and is super comfy and stylish!
Old Navy |
I am a sandal person through and through (I used to wear flip flops in the winter, haha)! My feet are just used to walking in sandals all day- and these are my absolute favorite go-to sandals for summer! They are very comfortable and literally go with everything!

And what trip to Florida would be complete without some new sunnies! I picked up these cute sunglasses on Amazon!

Last but not least- you cannot go on spring break without a bathing suit! I have tried so many suits over the years but now that I am a Mom to a toddler- I need comfort and coverage. This is my favorite suit that does both of those things!

So that's it! That is pretty much all I am packing for this trip. Growing up as a flight attendant's daughter and traveling mostly 'stand by' I learned early how to pack light- and carry on only. What are your staples this spring/summer?
