Growing up, I would spend a lot of time at my best friends house (coincidentally also named Rebecca) and I remember she had this artwork of doors from all around the world. I loved looking at it- I am not sure what is was about it- but it's just one of those things I remember from my childhood. And thus began my love of doors.

The countdown to Christmas is less than two weeks away and holiday party season has begun which means if you are hosting you'll want to greet your guests with a festive entryway!

If you are like me-- most 'skills' are constantly a work in progress. Photography is no exception. I have been blogging and taking pictures for a little over 3 years and I am by no means an expert but I've learned a few tricks that have helped my photos dramatically and thought it would be fun to share them with you!

I know we've all been there- you're getting ready for a Christmas party and realize you may have forgotten one or two (or three 😁...) people on your list! Or maybe you were invited to a last minute holiday gathering and you're looking for a hostess gift that isn't your standard bottle of wine.

It's no secret that I love decorating our front porch- even if I am not the one who gets to see it! I am not lying when I say that I had a woman come knock on my door during the Halloween season to tell me that she just loved my porch decor and it made my day! So, I do it for those who walk by- and for all those people delivering the mail, packages, etc. It brings me joy to make my porch festive for the season!

I have always been someone who decorates every inch of our house for Christmas (yes... even the bathrooms!). I just love to walk into any room and feel that holiday spirit! Decorating my kitchen for Christmas was the most fun this year since painting our cabinets white (see full tutorial here)! One of the things I knew I wanted to do this year was add some fun wreaths on our cabinet doors!

I know it's early but I just couldn't resist sharing a few budget friendly Christmas decor finds! I must admit that I am in the category of 'those who decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving' and... well... I'm not ashamed! I've actually considered starting a tradition of decorating the Christmas Tree while we hand out candy on Halloween! Jury's still out on that one...

When I first laid eyes on our front porch when we looked at this house online I had visions of how I would decorate it for fall. I had always dreamed of having a porch like this to decorate! I am so excited to be sharing a tour of this year's fall porch with y'all!
