{R} Favorites- The Pouf

Thursday, July 9, 2015

{R} Favorite trend this week is the pouf!

You've seen them on Pinterest. You've spotted them at Target. But what is a pouf? How do you even spell pouf? Is it a seat or an ottoman? All questions I'm sure you've asked yourself. But, if you love decorative and functional elements in your home then you need at least one of these.

Poufs really are whatever you want them to be. They can be an ottomon, extra seating, eye candy. You name it and 'Poof!' you've got it (I'm getting carried away now). But really, they are a trend that I just can't get enough of.

Here are {R} favorite pouf finds!

This is one of my all time favorite poufs (and one I have in my home!). I lucked out and got mine from the clearance section of Target for $18 but I have found some replicas. The fabric color is neutral but the roap weaving pattern adds texture to your space (texture is good!). Keep it next to the sofa or in front of your recliner (yes, poufs can even make those look designer!).
Mandara Handmade Cotton Poufs $58

This is another one that I love. Picture this: Snow falling, you're wrapped in a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa sitting by the fire and your feet are resting on this cozy sweater pouf. Can you say poufection? (There I go getting carried away again, haha!)

Taupe Heather Sweater Pouf $99
I love all things wicker so this pouf is another fave and it comes from one of my go-to stores, Ikea! This is technically a 'stool' but the idea is the same. I love that you can stack them and have multiple poufs available at any moment! You can even find adorable handmade covers for these poufs on Etsy (see here)!
ALSEDA Stool $29
If you've read my DIY Stripe Wall post you know that stripes are essential in my home so this one just had to be included. Stripes are a neutral pattern so they can really go anywhere with any decor. And this particular pouf comes in 7 color options!

Linear Pouf $159

We just learned all about Ikat in last week's {R} Favorites- All about that Ikat post so I felt it was a must to include at least one Ikat patterned pouf. And it's adorable!

Ikat Saffron Pouf $120 (Handmade)

I love adding gold to my home's decor and I love this pattern! It is very modern and adds some clean lines with the cube shape if that's what you're into.
Modern Chic Cube Pouf $95

Maybe you have a hubby who isn't necessarily onboard with the whole pouf idea yet. I think this one will change his mind! This wool pouf is stylish yet masculine and will become his new best friend (or at least his feet's).

Basketweave Wool Pouf $99

Why not bring your poufs outdoors? If you're have a backyard barbeque you can never have enough seating and this will be the new favorite seat. Or if you want a place to rest your feet as you sip your morning coffee on your front porch this bright turquoise pouf if perfect!

Threshold Outdoor Fabric Pouf $29

Last (but definitely not least) the infamous gold pouf. I will definitely be getting one of these for a nursery when {R} and I have a little one and if we have a girl. At one point in time you were actually able to find these at Target but those dreamy days are over. I was able to find many other options. Here is one of them!

Irked Design Metallic Moroccan Pouf $155
These are just a few examples of the hundreds of options out there. Seriously. I dare you to google 'Pouf' and not find one that fits your fancy! Another successful post that has led me to want to buy each and every one of these and find a place for them in my home.

For now, my lone pouf will have to do. Here is how I have incorporated my pouf into my space! It is the perfect ottomon for our little reading nook in the basement.
